The Lord of the Rings (50th Anniversary Edition)
Definitive Edition

As an owner of numerous editions, I welcome this latest revision in honour of the 50th anniversary. The soft leather cover is quite nice to the touch and the printing quality is superlative. The numerous revisions to the text are welcome and the two-coloured printing in spots is similar to the deluxe editions from 30 years ago.
If you desire an excellent edition at a very affordable price, this is the one to get. Highly recommended.

J.R.R. Tolkien Boxed Set (The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings)
You can't really go wrong with Tolkien..

At the first glance of the cover of The Hobbit, by J.R.R Tolkien, you would probley think the book would be boring. This book proves that the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover", is 100% true. Tolkiens one of a kind imagination and talent reflects in this book. He lets you experiance what it's like to be in the mind of a daring, courageous, and adverturous hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo and his loyal friends decide to take a journey over mysterious mountains, through dark forests, and into deep caverns all in search of the hiddemn treasure. On this journey the friends run into many evil creatures, testing their strength, courage, and imagination. Most of Tolkiens books are fantasy like the three sequals that are part of the hobbit story. The three sequals are, Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. This book is sure to make you yern for more of J.R.R Tolkiens fabulous books. I would recommend this book to anyone from the ages of 12+. Will Bilbo and his friends survive the awful creatures blocking their dream? Only you can find out by reading this fantastic book!

The Two Towers (The Lord of the Rings, Book 2)
The Journey continues...

As we might expect from the second and middle book in a trilogy, The Two Towers develops its own plot elements, separating itself from the first book, and ending in a frustrating climax. I think that this is my favorite book of the three so far, but I'll have to hold back final judgment until I read The Return of the King, the final book in what has turned out to be my favorite trilogy. The story as interpreted, is broken up into two stories that combine in the end to make sense of this dramatic thriller. The first part of the book has a wide range of activity; it's about the beginning of the War of the Ring in the time of Middle Earth and it concentrates mainly on Merry and Pippins adventure through mysterious lands. As they meet some of the cruelest and unique creatures, they press on to find Frodo and Sam who are on their way to destroy the ring. The second part of the book follows Frodo, Sam, and Gollum as they try to make their way to Mordor, to the top of Mount Doom where the ring can be destroyed to preserve the world. The story turns out to be the most interesting of the two books so far and I highly recommended this book to the educated class who desire a in-depth, breath-taking adventure through a character filled new world.
A+

The only bad thing about Tolkien's masterpiece, is finding something to read afterwards.
